About the artist
Born in Montreal, Mephisto Bates spent his teenage years in the city of Mascouche before returning to settle in his hometown at the age of 21. In 2013, he began studying visual arts at Cégep du Vieux Montréal, but soon decided to dedicate himself fully to his personal projects.
A self-taught and multidisciplinary artist, Mephisto has explored a wide range of artistic disciplines. He has been particularly invested in painting, sculpture, installation, and music. Deeply engaged in the art world, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions and live painting events, while also devoting himself to solo shows.
