Ces dernières années, j'ai collecté des déchets trouvés au fil de mes voyages. Leurs formes, après avoir subi les intempéries, évoquent des vêtements. J'associe ces objets à des images soigneusement sélectionnées, découpées dans des magazines recyclés. Je crois que la « mode par les déchets », qu'il s'agisse de créations à partir de déchets végétaux issus du compost ou d'objets en plastique recyclé provenant d'emballages de barres chocolatées, est une forme d'art contemporaine. Longtemps négligée, elle est devenue ma toile inattendue. À travers ce travail, je réfléchis à notre rapport à la matérialité, à l'excès et à la nature éphémère des choses que nous chérissons comme de celles que nous jetons, tout en incitant à repenser nos habitudes de consommation et le véritable coût de la beauté fugace.

Lora Moore

Lora Moore-Kakaletris is a fine art photographer based in Oakville, Ontario. Originally trained as an Occupational Therapist, she transitioned into photography in 2008, channeling her therapeutic skills—such as patience and empathy—into her creative practice. Her work is deeply personal, often exploring themes of identity, emotion, and transformation through evocative imagery Lora's photography encompasses a diverse range of series, including the introspective Water and L'eau Bleue, the conceptual My Secret and Trash-ion Couture, and the minimalist Poetic Abstraction. These works have been exhibited in galleries across Canada and have garnered numerous awards and recognitions. Her art invites viewers to confront their own emotions and experiences, fostering a connection through shared vulnerability and beauty. Residing in Oakville with her family, Lora continues to create and share her work, aiming to leave a lasting imprint of her story and perspective on the world.
